$400,000.00 – Sex Discrimination & Retaliation

Firm represented a female staff member against her former company and boss for sex discrimination and retaliation. Plaintiff alleged that defendants discriminated against her due to her sex by subjecting her to a hostile work environment and then retaliated against her for complaining about that discrimination by terminating her employment, all in Violation of Title VII and the New State Human Rights Law.  After engaging in a first unsuccessful private mediation pre-litigation, the firm filed a complaint in federal court, engaged in extensive investigation and document discovery, and won a critical discovery motion forcing the defendants back to mediation. In that second private mediation, the matter settled before any formal depositions were taken in the amount of $400,000.00.  Anthony P. Consiglio handled the matter for the Firm.
