New Action filed in the Supreme Court of the State of New York County of Kings
Comito v. Arklow-FBF LLC d/b/a Aviator Sports & Events Center, Index No.:506916/2021
On March 23, 2021, Plaintiff Comito filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of the State of New York County of Kings against ARKLOW-FBF LLC d/b/a AVIATOR SPORTS & EVENTS CENTER (“Aviator” or “Defendant”), alleging upon knowledge as to herself and her own actions and upon information and belief as to all other matters, as follows:
Plaintiff worked for Defendant – – a Delaware limited liability company, which pursuant to Concessions Contract CC-GATE015-03 with the United States National Park System, operates a family-oriented sports center that included a youth gymnastics training center at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, which is part of the federal Gateway National Recreation Area – – as a gymnastics coach with Aviator’s United States Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs (“IGC”) competition team from in or around early-October 2017 to October 7, 2019. As described below, after Plaintiff lodged good faith complaints to her supervisors about her fellow gymnastics coach sexually abusing at least three of Aviator’s minor gymnasts, Defendant retaliated eight days later by terminating Plaintiff’s employment.
